First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at whether using rapid blood-clotting tests during surgery for placenta accreta can help doctors decide when to give blood transfusions. 32 women having a cesarean section and hysterectomy for this condition took part. Half had the rapid tests during surgery, while the other half had standard lab tests. The goal was to see if the rapid tests changed the amount of blood products needed.
