NCT ID NCT03064152

First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tested whether a rapid blood test called ROTEM could help doctors give the right blood products faster during severe bleeding after childbirth. The goal was to reduce the total amount of blood transfused and lower the need for intensive care. The study included 49 women who had heavy bleeding after vaginal or cesarean delivery. The trial was stopped early, so results are limited.
