Summary
This study tested two statins, rosuvastatin and pravastatin, to see which is safer and more effective at lowering cholesterol in people with HIV who are on antiretroviral therapy. 86 participants with high cholesterol took one of the two drugs for 45 days. The goal was to manage cholesterol levels and reduce heart disease risk, not to cure HIV.
