First seen Feb 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at whether putting a calcium hydroxide paste inside a tooth between root canal appointments helps infected teeth heal better. About 110 adults with a painful tooth infection will be randomly assigned to get either the medicated dressing or an empty canal between visits. Researchers will check healing using X-rays and pain reports over 6 to 24 months.
