First seen Feb 11, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at whether putting a calcium hydroxide paste inside a tooth between root canal visits helps heal infections better than leaving the tooth empty. About 110 adults with infected permanent teeth will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. The main goal is to see if the paste improves healing on X-rays and reduces pain over 6 to 24 months.
