New combo aims to fix chemo side effect in cancer survivors

Summary
This study is for adults who have finished chemotherapy for gastrointestinal cancer and are in remission, but still have dangerously low platelet counts. Researchers want to see if adding a second drug (ATRA) to the standard platelet-boosting drug (romiplostim N01) works better than the standard drug alone. The study will track platelet levels over 12 weeks of treatment and follow up to 24 weeks.
