Summary
This study looks at whether high lactate levels in the blood cause problems with fat burning and sugar processing in people with metabolic syndrome. Researchers will give healthy volunteers a lactate infusion and measure how their body handles fat and sugar during rest, exercise, and a glucose drink test.
