Summary
This study looked at how a specific brain chemical system (cholinergic) works in people with a genetic form of dystonia, a condition causing muscle spasms and abnormal postures. Researchers used PET scans to measure chemical activity in the brain. The goal was to better understand the disease, not to test a treatment. 40 adults with confirmed DYT1 dystonia took part.
