First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study compares two types of surgery for fixing a ventral hernia (a bulge in the belly wall). One method uses a robot to assist the surgeon, the other is traditional open surgery. The goal is to see which approach leads to a shorter hospital stay and fewer complications. About 200 adults with medium-sized hernias will take part.
