Robot surgeons vs. traditional methods: which gets hernia patients home faster?

NCT ID NCT05472987

Summary

This study compares two surgical approaches for repairing ventral hernias: traditional open surgery versus newer robotic-assisted surgery. Researchers aim to see if robotic surgery reduces hospital stays by about one day and improves recovery outcomes. The trial will enroll 200 adults with medium-sized hernias and track their pain, complications, quality of life, and hernia recurrence.
