NCT ID NCT04938973
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study aimed to see if it's possible to run a larger trial comparing robotic-assisted minimally invasive esophagectomy (RAMIE) to the standard open surgery for esophageal cancer. It involved 24 adults with stage I-III esophageal cancer. The main goal was to measure how many patients would agree to participate, and to check the safety of the robotic approach. The study was terminated early, so results are limited.
