Robot vs. surgeon: which knee replacement is more precise?
NCT ID NCT03469193
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study compared two ways to perform partial knee replacement surgery for people with knee osteoarthritis: using a robotic system (Navio) versus the traditional manual method. Sixty-six adults with inner knee arthritis were randomly assigned to one of the two techniques. The goal was to see if robotic assistance leads to better leg alignment and implant placement, which could improve long-term function and implant survival.
