Robots vs surgeons: which knee replacement is better?

NCT ID NCT07551856

First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study will compare two types of total knee replacement surgery for people with knee osteoarthritis: one using a robotic device (VELYS) and the other done by hand. About 346 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods. The goal is to see if the robotic approach leads to better pain relief, function, and satisfaction, and to check for any differences in safety or recovery time.
