Robot surgeons vs human hands: which is safer for gallbladder removal?

NCT ID NCT07119203

Summary

This study compares two types of minimally invasive surgery for removing a gallbladder due to gallstones or polyps. 276 adult patients will be randomly assigned to have either robotic-assisted surgery or standard laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery. The main goal is to see if the robotic approach is as safe as the standard method, by tracking complications, recovery time, pain levels, and overall patient experience for 30 days after surgery.
