First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 35 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a robotic training device (DHRT or DHRT+) helps new medical residents learn how to insert central lines (a type of IV into a large vein). Over 770 residents from two medical centers used the device during their regular training. Researchers then checked patient records for up to a year to see if the training led to fewer complications or infections from the procedure.
