Robot surgeons battle breast cancer in major trial

Summary
This study compares two surgical approaches for breast cancer removal: traditional open surgery versus newer robot-assisted surgery. Researchers want to know if robotic surgery is just as effective at preventing cancer recurrence while potentially offering better cosmetic results. All 790 participants will have their breast removed and immediately reconstructed, then be followed for five years to track cancer outcomes and satisfaction.
