Robots vs surgeons: which gives better results for breast cancer surgery?

NCT ID NCT05490433

Summary

This study compares two surgical approaches for early-stage breast cancer: robot-assisted nipple-sparing mastectomy versus traditional open surgery. Both approaches include immediate breast reconstruction. The trial aims to determine if the robotic technique provides similar cancer control outcomes while potentially improving cosmetic results and patient satisfaction. Results will help establish whether robotic surgery should become a standard option for eligible patients.
