Robot takes the wheel in heart surgery trial
NCT ID NCT07152574
Summary
This study is testing a new robotic system designed to help surgeons place replacement heart valves more precisely during a minimally invasive procedure. The robot allows doctors to remotely control the valve positioning tools, aiming for more consistent and accurate results. The trial will enroll 10 patients aged 65 or older who need a valve replacement for severe aortic stenosis, primarily to check if the robotic system is safe to use.
