Robots help burn patients walk again in new pilot study

Summary

This small pilot study tests whether robot-assisted gait training can improve walking ability in people with burns and fractures on their legs. Five adults will receive 30 minutes of robot training plus 30 minutes of standard walking therapy daily for 8 weeks. The goal is to see if the robot helps them walk better and with less help.
