Blood test may forecast fracture healing

NCT ID NCT06872775

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study checks if RNA in the blood can predict whether a broken bone will heal normally, slowly, or not at all. Researchers will collect blood samples from 110 adults with fractures at several time points after injury. The goal is to see if these RNA markers match the actual healing outcome up to 9 months later. This is an observational study, meaning no new treatment is given—just monitoring and measurement.
