First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This early-phase study tests an experimental drug called RK-4 in 18 people who have had a severe stroke (large hemispheric infarction) and cannot receive or did not respond to standard clot-removal therapy. The drug is injected directly into the bone marrow of the skull once daily for three days. The main goals are to check if the drug is safe and tolerable, and to measure how it moves through the body. Researchers will also look for early signs of benefit.
