NCT ID NCT00748644

First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looked at whether rituximab can help people with a rare autoimmune disease called ANCA-associated vasculitis stay in remission longer than the standard treatment, azathioprine. 117 adults who were already in remission took either rituximab or azathioprine for 18 months, plus 10 months of follow-up. The main goal was to see which group had fewer major relapses.
