New hope for tough Crohn's: drug may stop gut scarring

Summary

This study tests a drug called risankizumab in 260 adults with fibrostenotic Crohn's disease, a severe form where scarring narrows the intestines. Participants who have not improved with standard treatments will receive either the drug or a placebo. The goal is to see if risankizumab can stop the scarring from getting worse and improve symptoms.
