First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This early-phase study tested an experimental drug called rigosertib in just 2 people who have a rare, severe blistering skin disease (recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa) and also developed advanced skin cancer. The goal was to see if the drug could shrink or control the cancer and to check for side effects. The study was very small and aimed to gather first information on whether rigosertib might help this specific group of patients.
