First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests a treatment called Remote Ischaemic Conditioning (RIC) for people who have had a hip fracture. RIC uses a blood pressure cuff on the arm or leg to briefly stop blood flow, which may reduce inflammation and improve healing. The study will include 12 adults and aims to see if the treatment is safe, tolerable, and practical to use during a hospital stay.
