First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests a treatment called Remote Ischaemic Conditioning (RIC) for people who have broken a hip. RIC uses a blood pressure cuff on the arm or leg to briefly stop blood flow, which may trigger the body to reduce inflammation and improve healing. The study will include 12 adults and aims to see if the treatment is safe, tolerable, and practical to use daily for 10 days after surgery.
