First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tests if a technique called remote ischemic conditioning (RIC) — using a blood pressure cuff to briefly restrict blood flow — can make exercise more effective for adults over 65 who have trouble walking. Researchers will see if adding RIC to rehab exercise is practical and acceptable for 20 older adults. The goal is to improve muscle strength, mobility, and overall resilience.
