Summary
This study tested a procedure called cryoneurolysis, which uses a special device to freeze the nerves around broken ribs. The goal was to see if it could provide better pain relief and reduce the need for strong painkillers like opioids. The study included 43 adults aged 18 to 64 with rib fractures who were not candidates for surgery.
