Summary
This study tested a procedure called cryoanalgesia, which uses cold to numb nerves, for treating pain from broken ribs. Five adults with rib fractures received the treatment to see if it could improve pain control and reduce the need for strong painkillers. The goal was to find a safer, more effective option for managing rib fracture pain.
