First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a common minimally invasive procedure called radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is safe and helpful for people aged 80 and older with severe chronic venous insufficiency (leg vein problems causing swelling, skin changes, or ulcers). Researchers will enroll 50 participants and track vein closure rates, symptom improvement, and quality of life over 6 months. The goal is to provide better evidence for treating this condition in very elderly patients.
