NCT ID NCT07233616

First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a common, minimally invasive treatment called radiofrequency ablation is safe and helpful for people aged 80 and older with severe chronic venous insufficiency (leg vein disease causing swelling, skin changes, or ulcers). Researchers will treat 50 patients and check if the treated veins close properly and if patients feel better in daily life over 6 months. The goal is to provide clear evidence to guide treatment decisions for this older age group.
