Retinal shift after surgery: which filler works best?

NCT ID NCT07495319

First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looked at 78 people in Pakistan who had surgery for a detached retina. Doctors wanted to see if using gas or silicone oil inside the eye changes how much the retina moves after surgery. Retinal movement can cause blurry or distorted vision even after the retina is reattached. The study used special imaging to check for movement one month after surgery.
