Eye surgery study: does a routine liquid cause retinal shifting?

Summary
This study looks at whether using a liquid called perfluorocarbon during retinal detachment surgery changes how the retina settles afterward. About 292 adults with a detached retina will be randomly assigned to have surgery with or without this liquid. The goal is to see if the liquid affects retinal shifting and visual symptoms like distortion.
