First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looks at whether warming up the breathing muscles can help combat athletes perform better. Twenty young kickboxers and Muay Thai fighters (ages 15-22) will try a special breathing warm-up, a fake version, or a regular warm-up. Researchers will measure their lung function, heart rate, and how well they do on a fitness test to see if the breathing warm-up makes a difference.
