First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tested whether moderate intensity breathing exercises are safe and doable for people with ALS. Nine adults with ALS did four 3-week cycles of progressive respiratory muscle training at home, with weekly check-ins via video call. The goal was to see if the training was well-tolerated and could improve breathing strength.
