New breathing workout could help MS patients breathe easier

NCT ID NCT07269054

First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study aims to see if a new remote breathing exercise program can improve breathing strength, quality of life, and physical function in people with multiple sclerosis. The program adjusts the breathing resistance based on each person's maximum ability, similar to how weightlifters find their one-rep max. Sixty adults with stable MS will be enrolled and compared to a group doing standard breathing exercises.
