First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tests if doing special breathing exercises (for inhaling and exhaling) before lung cancer surgery can lower the risk of lung problems after surgery and help patients leave the hospital sooner. About 70 adults with early-to-mid stage lung cancer will be randomly assigned to standard physical therapy or standard therapy plus these breathing exercises. The goal is to see if the exercises improve recovery and lung function.
