First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests whether doing special breathing exercises (inspiratory and expiratory muscle training) before lung cancer surgery can reduce lung problems after the operation. About 70 adults scheduled for lung cancer surgery will be randomly assigned to standard physical therapy or standard therapy plus breathing training. The goal is to see if these exercises improve recovery, shorten hospital stays, and strengthen breathing muscles.
