First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether a program of respiratory muscle training (breathing exercises) can improve heart, lung, and exercise capacity in people who recently had bariatric surgery for obesity. Researchers will enroll 52 adults aged 18 to 60 and measure changes in breathing strength, sleep apnea, and physical fitness. The goal is to find a simple, drug-free way to enhance recovery and quality of life after surgery.
