Summary

This study will test if a special action plan, based on respectful maternity care, can improve the health and well-being of mothers and their newborns after childbirth. Nurses and midwives will be trained to provide more respectful, supportive care. The study will compare the experiences and health outcomes of 500 women who receive this new approach with those who received standard care.
