Protein shakes after workouts may help stroke patients rebuild muscle

Summary

This study looks at whether drinking a protein beverage after leg-strengthening exercises helps stroke survivors build more muscle and improve mobility. About 93 people who had a stroke more than 3 months ago will take part. Half will get protein after workouts, the other half a placebo drink with the same calories.
