First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looked at how two different ways of doing resistance training affect athletic skills like jumping, sprinting, and agility. Twenty male university athletes did lower-body exercises for 8 weeks, either using a velocity-based method (focusing on speed of movement) or a percentage-based method (focusing on a fixed weight). The goal was to see which approach led to better improvements in motor skills.
