New drug combo could help stroke patients recover better

Summary
This study tests whether adding a fast-acting blood thinner (cangrelor) to the standard clot-removal procedure improves recovery after a stroke. About 368 adults with a large-vessel blockage in the brain will receive either the drug plus the procedure or the procedure alone. The main goal is to see if more people have better function (like walking without help) three months later.
