Double stem cell shot aims to beat dry mouth for good

NCT ID NCT07290946

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study tests whether two injections of stem cells, given four months apart, can improve saliva production and reduce dry mouth symptoms in people who have had radiation for head and neck cancer or have Sjögren's disease. About 100 adults with daily dry mouth and low saliva flow will take part. The goal is to see if repeated treatment works better than a single dose.
