Double dose of stem cells aims to quench dry mouth misery
NCT ID NCT07290946
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests whether two doses of stem cells, given four months apart, can improve saliva production and ease dry mouth in 100 people who have had radiation for head and neck cancer or have Sjögren's disease. Previous single-dose stem cell treatments showed promise but rarely restored normal saliva flow. The goal is to see if a second treatment can boost saliva output and reduce daily discomfort.
