New hip cartilage repair method tested in pilot trial

Summary

This study tests a new surgical method (AMIC) against the standard microfracture procedure for repairing damaged hip cartilage. Forty adults aged 18-55 with hip pain and cartilage defects will be randomly assigned to one of the two surgeries. Researchers will track pain, hip function, and quality of life for two years to see which approach works better.
