First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at whether lowering high parathyroid hormone levels can improve bone density in people with advanced chronic kidney disease (stages 4-5). About 70 adults aged 50 and older will be assigned to different treatment targets for their hormone levels. The goal is to see if better hormone control leads to stronger bones and fewer fractures.
