New device aims to stop kidney damage after heart operations

NCT ID NCT06811805

Summary

This study is testing whether a device called RenalGuard can prevent kidney damage in patients having heart surgery. The device helps maintain high urine flow during and after surgery, which researchers believe might protect the kidneys. The study compares RenalGuard therapy to standard care in 300 high-risk patients undergoing various heart procedures.
