Summary
This early-phase study tested a personalized vaccine for 38 people with advanced kidney cancer. The vaccine was made by fusing a patient's own tumor cells with their immune cells (dendritic cells) and was given along with a drug that boosts white blood cells (GM-CSF). The main goal was to check safety and side effects, and researchers also looked for signs that the vaccine triggered an immune response against the cancer.
