First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at whether remote Reiki (a hands-off energy healing technique) could help reduce feelings of hopelessness, fatigue, and pain in 30 adults with chronic kidney disease who were on the waiting list for an organ transplant. Participants received distant Reiki sessions while continuing their usual medical care. The study measured changes using standard questionnaires for hopelessness, pain, and fatigue.
